What a busy day we had.

The largest number of teams EVER to take part in one of our Dragon Boat Events.

Thank you so much to all 39 teams for supporting us this year.

The day really does put the FUN into fundraising.

Well done everybody.

And its an honourable mention for Spons Br for claiming the top spot and all the bragging rights by winning the Grand Final.

The honours are theirs- at least for a year anyway.

Well what a day we had- another glorious turnout of excitable paddlers who suddenly found that once the racing starts- it gets serious!

Everyone wants to win.

And despite the best efforts of the Great British weather trying to rain on our parade, or so to speak, spirits remained high throughout.

And a heartwarming moment that has to be acknowledged- after the third or fourth downpour- a meeting called all crew captains together to debate whether we should run the third heats or not.

We could miss them out and go straight to the finals.

The enthusiasm was over-whelming- ABSOLUTELY YES. We want to race- in any weather.

So thank you all of the captains and crews for the massive show of support.

And even better- it didnt rain again.
